1. Hes a democrat
2. He needs to pay for things
3. He made campaign promises to fund social pork programs that will benefit the poor
4. He has to pay down deficit (or print more money)
5. Michele and daughters need new dresses for public appearances
6. He wants to tax rich so they invest less and kill the market
7. He doesn’t know what else to do
8. He is bored
9. Citi, Bac and others need money to cover losses on bad assets
10. he wants to cut taxes in 12 so he can get reelected, its easier to cut after he raises taxes
