A quick look at Obama budget performance to date:

Short form, the Obama 2010 to 2011 budgets are short over 6% in receipts from what he originally forecast, over 5% in spends from what he originally forecast and the deficits are 34% greater than he originally forecast.
I always go back and look at the beginning to see the accurate picture of the end. The 2010 Budget proposed, the 2010 Budget as presented in the President’s 2011 Budget proposal and the 2011 Budget proposed last year make interesting viewing:

2010 Receipts Original - 2.381 Trillion dollars
2010 Receipts In 2011 - 2.165 Trillion dollars - a drop of 9.1%
2011 Receipts Original - 2.713 Trillion dollars
2011 Receipts in 2011 - 2.567 Trillion dollars - a drop of 5.4%
2010 Spends Original - 3.552 Trillion dollars
2010 Spends 2011 - 3.721 Trillion dollars - an INCREASE of 4.8%
2011 Spends Original - 3.625 Trillion dollars
2011 Spends 2011 - 3.834 Trillion dollars - an INCREASE of 5.8%
2010 Deficit original - 1.171 Trillion dollars
2010 Deficit 2011 - 1.556 Trillion dollars - an INCREASE of 32.9%
2011 Deficit original - 912 Billion dollars
2011 Deficit 2011 - 1.267 Trillion dollars - an INCREASE of 39%
