  1. Retard alert…about 44 million people in the US have no health insurance, and another 38 million have inadequate health insurance. This means that nearly one-third of Americans face each day without the security of knowing that, if and when they need it, medical care is unavailable to them and their families. Also in the UK, Australia, Canada, etc. no one goes bankrupt as a result of health costs.

  2. We got the NHS after the war because the elite were afraid of an armed uprising. Men were fit, battle-hardened, in contact with mates across the country and had plenty of souvenir war weapons. They were organized! They said they’re not going to accept the poverty their fathers endured after 1918 which led to homeless soldiers, unemployment and hunger marches.
    The concessions they gained are being taken back now by neo-liberalism now that most have died, and there’s no social cohesion for an organized movement which can reverse things. All we can do is burn the country down to make changes.
