#OpTurkey: Turkish Prime Minister and government websites hacked by Hacktivists

Anonymous hacktivists and Syrian Electronic Army(SEA) carried out a serious of cyber attack against Turkish Government following the violence of the police against peaceful protesters.

Anonymous hacker with twitter handle @AnonsTurkey and SEA group has breached the official Prime Ministry website(basbakanlik.gov.tr) and compromised the data from the server.

Anonymous, Syrian Electronic Army hack Turkish govt networks, leak emails incl PM’s

Turkish government networks were hacked on Wednesday, compromising the private information of staffers in PM Tayyip Erdogan’s office, a source in PM’s office confirmed to Reuters. The attack was in support of the ongoing anti-government protests.

Staff email accounts were reportedly accessed after a phishing attack, and those affected were cut off from the network, a source said.

Turkish trade unions join protests against PM Erdogan

Turkish trade unionists banging drums and trailing banners marched into an Istanbul square on Wednesday, joining unprecedented protests against Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan over what they see as his authoritarian rule.

Members of more than a dozen unions chanting “Tayyip resign” marched down a major avenue towards Taksim Square. There were similar protests against Erdogan, prime minister for over 10 years and winner of three elections, in Kizilay Park in the capital Ankara.
