AOL is almost a dead issue.

WHAT could they POSSIBLY offer the public that has not already been taken (successfully) by other companies??
Search Engine??? NOPE - not when you have Google, Bing & Yahoo as the major players
Networking with Bebo???? NOPE - not when Twitter, Facebook and MySPACE dominate and I don;t know ONE person who even knows what Bebo is
Internet service?? NOPE - as they are dead in the water with that, especially since DIAL UP is going by way of the dinosaur and there are TOO many better brands offering internet access.
I have no idea how they will be able to capture advertising dollars when there are GREATER outlets by which advertisers will be able to choose from.
MAYBE they can go REALLY cheap for advertising space, undercutting everyone by a wide margin and THEN start something like Craigslist to gain more followership. AOL can no longer use their ‘brand name recognition’ to gain followers as they lost that when they merged with Time Warner.
Good luck for the last remaining years you have left
