As any government gets money, they don’t use it to pay off past debts, they use it to fund new debts.

The more you squeeze to tighten government’s spending belt, the harder they will push to spend the monies.

The easiest way to fight losing money that rightfully belongs to the wage earner is education. Unfortunately with the current level of school education because the gov’t stole the lottery money that was earmarked to be used on top of other education spending, this means Self-Education.

Learn what tax bracket your income gets you into.
Learn what deductions you can take or not take according to your deductions
Try to keep your W4 current. Don’t give the state an interest-free loan.

Use all loopholes and exemptions to your fullest advantage, such as savings bonds and charities, FSA and child care for CA state.

For more revenue raising ideas, the Politicos should look to their own backyards. Tax any and all items associated with campaigning. Each election campaign garners millions -mostly for advertising- can you imagine what taxing all phases of a campaign would do to the coffers?

I did not know that in July they upped my withholdings, I just saw that they were too high and adjusted my W4s accordingly.
