A major blaze at a nightclub in southern Brazilian town of Santa Maria has left at least 90 people dead, according to local police. The fire happened in the city center, with the area remaining isolated.
At least 90 people have reportedly died from smoke inhalation after a nightclub fire in southern Brazil.
Around 200 others are being treated in several hospitals after the blaze in the city of Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul.
It is believed to have started at 2am after a pyrotechnic show for a local band at the Kiss nightclub.

At least 245 people have been killed in a Brazil nightclub after a fire ravaged through the building in the early hours of this morning.
Initial reports were that 90 people perished in the blaze, but firefighters quickly updated the figures as the extent of the fire was revealed.
The total number of victims is still unknown and there may be hundreds injured, civil police and regional government spokesman Marcelo Arigoni told Radio Gaucha.
