At least one person was killed and 162 others were wounded as hundreds of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi’s supporters and opponents clashed in the Nile Delta city of Mansoura, the Ministry Of Health confirmed.
More than 5,000 members of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist parties staged a demonstration in Mansoura under the name “No to violence, Yes to Legitimacy” in support of Morsi.
Mursi speech leak: ex-regime conspiracy against him, will not resign
Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi is expected to say in a speech on Wednesday that hundreds of former regime members are conspiring against him, and will disclose some of their names, according to exclusive information obtained by Al Arabiya.
Mursi will also say that leaders of the opposition National Salvation Front, such as Mohamed ElBaradei and Hamdin Sabahi, have rejected concessions by him, including high-profile positions.

CAIRO (AP) — Security and hospital officials say clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt’s Islamist president have killed at least one person and injured scores.
The violence in the coastal city of Masoura, north of Cairo, began Wednesday when opponents of President Mohammed Morsi pelted his supporters with garbage as they gathered outside a mosque to stage a march to back the president.

Clashes in Egypt as Mursi readies speech
Two people were killed and dozens injured in street fighting on Wednesday north of Cairo between supporters and opponents of Egypt’s Islamist president, hours before Mohamed Mursi was to address the nation.
With Egypt gripped by fears of a showdown between Islamists and their opponents, security sources said 90 people wounded in the city of Mansoura after hundreds of men were involved in rock-throwing street skirmishes. Witnesses also heard gunfire.
