An IDF officer was injured Wednesday in an accident involving an armored personnel carrier (APC). The officer suffered light to moderate injuries.
The accident took place in the Golan. The officer was evacuated to hospital via helicopter.

The number of Israelis ordering gas masks has more than doubled in recent days, the Post Office reports. The increase comes in the wake of warnings from experts that Syria’s chemical weapons could fall into Hizbullah’s hands.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday that the defense establishment is following the latest deterioration in stability in Syria with concern. In particular, it is monitoring Syria’s chemical weapons, he said.

Postal officials reported a significant increase in demand for gas masks and other protective gear Wednesday, as fears of Syrian chemical weapons being turned against Israel ramped up.
Statistics showed that on Tuesday, almost three times the average number of citizens came to distribution centers across the country to receive gas masks.
Officials from the Israel Postal Company said that over four thousand masks had been given out Tuesday, up from 1,400 on the days before. The company also stated that in Jerusalem and Beersheba the numbers were especially high, up from less than 400 a day to over 1,000.
A Lebanese army statement says the last of the sorties was at 2 a.m. local time Wednesday. It says four warplanes, which flew in over the southernmost coastal town of Naqoura, flew for several hours over villages in south Lebanon before leaving Lebanese airspace.
It says similar flights by eight other warplanes were conducted Tuesday.

Syria’s war has reached “unprecedented levels of horror”, said UN-Arab League mediator Lakhdar Brahimi on Tuesday after dozens of men were found slaughtered just ahead of a donors’ conference for the devastated country.
Brahimi told the divided UN Security Council Tuesday it had to act immediately to halt the carnage epitomized by the at least 78 young men, each killed with a single bullet and dumped in the Quweiq River in the battlefront city of Aleppo.
Hundreds of distressed people watched as muddied corpses were dredged from the river.
Syria “is breaking up before everyone’s eyes,” Brahimi told the council’s 15 ambassadors, according to reports after the closed-door meeting.
