BREAKING: New Record Flooding in Canmore, Canada, 100,000 evac in Calgary

Flooding Evacuation Orders and Declared State of Emergency

I have a friend who lives in Canmore, in a house built in the 80’s and it has never had any flood damage prior to now. Now his family is just hoping their whole home doesn’t wash away with this raging flooding creek. The creek (now river) water level is expected to go down tomorrow afternoon.

The National Trans-Canada Highway #1 is closed on both sides of Canmore and nearby city, Banff, isolating everyone in the locations.

Also nearby in Calgary, Alberta, the 4th Largest city in Canada, more than 100,000 people have been order to evacuate.
