Reading some trucking forums about this yesterday and there were a few drivers that reported that the truck they “Left” was stripped of all equipment, chains, tires, wheels, radio, and even some engine parts. luckily the driver had enough cash to get a rental car and make it home for Christmas. A shame really that had Arrow given even a trips notice the truck would have been returned to the dealer, but instead the drivers just wanted to get home.
These trucking companies are SUPPLIERS of the food.
When a company gets foreclosed on, the lender seizes and freezes all assets, like bank accounts. That’s what seems to have happened in this case. Daimler seems to have been the main lender and initiated foreclosure proceedings.
Hmmm… Didn’t that lender get 1.5 billion in bailout money? Maybe I’m mistaken.
