Former NSA intelligence technician Edward Snowden, 30, has taken an Aeroflot flight out of Hong Kong this morning bound for Russia, the Hong Kong government has confirmed. It said he had left ‘of his own accord’ through ‘a lawful and normal channel’. It is believed the whistleblower will continue on to Iceland or Ecuador, where he is most likely to be offered asylum.
