Study reveals GMO corn to be highly toxic
A leaked study examining genetically-modified corn reveals that the lab-made alternative to organic crops contains a startling level of toxic chemicals.

An anti-GMO website has posted the results of an education-based consulting company’s comparison of corn types, and the results reveal that genetically modified foods may be more hazardous than once thought.

The study, the 2012 Corn Comparison Report by Profit Pro, was published recently on the website for Moms Across America March to Label GMOs, a group that says they wish to “raise awareness and support Moms with solutions to eat GMO Free as we demand GMO labeling locally and nationally simultaneously.” They are plotting nationwide protests scheduled for later this year.

The report, writes the website’s Zen Honeycutt, was provided by a representative for De Dell Seed Company, an Ontario-based farm that’s touted as being Canadian only non-GMO corn seed company.

“The claims that ‘There is no difference between GMO corn and NON Gmo corn’ are false,” says Honeycutt, who adds she was “floored” after reading the study.

According to the analysis, GMO corn tested by Profit Pro contains a number of elements absent from traditional cord, including chlorides, formaldehyde and glyphosate. While those elements don’t appear naturally in corn, they were present in GMO samples to the tune of 60 ppm, 200pm and 13 ppm, respectively.

If nothing to this date have convinced our regulatory bodies which have approved the use of Glyphosate based herbicides (e.g. Roundup) as well as other chemicals used in agriculture which immobilize nutrients vital to life, and GMO’s resistant to glyphosate, then this revealing interview with Dr. Huber should guide our regulatory bodies to ban all use of the before mentioned products, untill longterm independent studies prove him wrong.

According to Dr. Huber the use of glyphosate based herbicides, such as Roundup, as well as other chemicals used in agriculture, have resulted in destruction of soil quality, reduced quantities of vital minerals in food-crops, which again lead to malnutrition in animals and humans. Dr. Huber also has published information about a new pathogen (new to science), which seems to be linked to the use of glyphosate based herbicides (e.g. Roundup) and have been detected in several types of glyphosate resistant GMO’s (e.g. GM soy and GM corn), as well as reduced health and infertility problems in liveststock. It is time that EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and the bodies that perform risk assessments on both chemicals for use in agriculture and GMO’s to wake up and take these findings seriously.

Yep – that’s right. The USDA has approved “new options for organic producers and processors.”

Last August, the USDA quietly released this ruling:

The National Organic Program published a final rule today that addresses the use of three substances in organic agriculture with specific limitations that would support production and processing of organic products.
Effective August 3, the allowance for the use of tetracycline in organic apple and pear production will be extended until Oct. 21, 2014, providing two years for the development of alternatives for fire blight control. Additionally, producers will have the option of using formic acid as a means of controlling varroa and tracheal mites in organic honey bee operations, while processors will have the option of using attapulgite, a nonsynthetic processing aid, for purification of plant and animal oils.
