S&P raises investment banking, broker view

BOSTON (MarketWatch) — Standard & Poor’s Equity Research on Tuesday raised its outlook on the investment banking and brokerage industries to neutral from negative, saying they are in a better position in the economic cycle. “Following write-downs and losses, asset sales, industry consolidation and capital raises, we see less risk on the balance sheets of these firms,” S&P financials analyst Matthew Albrecht said. “We also believe an uptick in equity and debt underwriting and trading results will help to offset a continued lull in demand for M&A advice. We think some valuations in the group have gotten ahead of earnings forecasts, but we believe the outlook for the group has brightened of late.”

I will publish on my website that my business will increase 100% next year and that will make it happen.

I was laughing so hard I just snorted milk out my nose!

I think this guy has been talking too much with my Realtor… “this is the bottom for sure, time to jump in with both feet!”
