DREAMERS vs American Dream: DAPA Gone, DACA Remains

Today the Trump administration shut down DAPA — Deferred Action for Parents of Americans & Lawful Permanent Residents — not a law but an Executive Order issued by Obama as he lost an immigration push and Senate seats in a midterm election. It would have granted amnesty to 4 Million illegal aliens but was never enforced as it was blocked by a judge. However, another Obama Executive Order, DACA, remains despite Trump’s promise to end. Would returning DREAMERS to Mexico be a good thing for Mexico? And what does our experience with amnesty in the 1980s and the subsequent creation of MS-13 tell us?
