“Parents arrested for failing to register home-schooled kids

…..A Montgomery County couple has been arrested on child endangerment charges for failing to register their children with the school district as they were home-schooled, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
…..Richard Cressy, 47, and Margie Cressy, 41, both of the town of Glen, never registered their four children or their home-schooling curriculum with the local school district, said the Sheriff’s Office.
…..The Superintendent of the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District confirmed the four children, ranging in age from 8 to 14, had not been registered with the school district for the last seven years.”

I loved home school in NJ - don’t ask, don’t tell basically. We moved to NC and they have rules that you need to register, keep attendance, take a national standardized test. Well, we have our own little school registered, four high school graduates so far, another this year. They have gone on to both academically and socially excel at the state universities they attended - one of them the valedictorian so everyone knew her.

The “government” schools pour $1 TRILLION down the drain every year to create more sheeple, we spent $2,000 on all six combined in our most expensive year. You would think states would learn to leave people alone and let them do it themselves, much more effective and cost controlling!

Should mention - although the state requests that home school test info, they never publish it. Too much an embarrassment when put up against their $10,000 per student schools.
