NOT TAXED
In 2009, roughly 47% of households, or 71 million, will not owe any federal income tax, according to estimates by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. Some in that group will even get additional money from the government because they qualify for refundable tax breaks.
The vast majority of households making up to $30,000 fall into the category, as do nearly half of all households making between $30,000 and $40,000.
Nearly 22% of those making between $50,000 and $75,000 end up with no federal income tax liability or negative liability as do 9% of households with incomes between $75,000 and $100,000.
REPRESENTATION WITHOUT TAXATION
The cry for centuries has been ‘taxation without representation’. The Democratic Party is in the process of changing this to ‘representation without taxation’.
The Health Care subsidy of $5,000 per household to the uninsured and defined low income poverty income will exceed 50 percent of the total number of households with a median income of $50,303 (2008 household income data). The 2008 tax table shows a household income tax of $5,000 on $37,150 taxable household income. Taxable income combined with the $8,000 standard deduction and $10,500 deduction for 3 exemptions results in a $55, 650 household adjusted gross incomes.
People who earn between 100% and 300% of the poverty level (e.g. between about $22,050 a year and $66,150 a year for a family of four; or between $37,010 a year and $111,030 a year for a family of eight) would face fees ranging from $750 to $2,250 a year. These same people also receive Low Income Energy Assistance Program (Leap), Food Stamps, Daycare, housing subsidies, tax remittances and welfare are all primarily based upon additional child expenses the family supposedly cannot afford.
The intended consequence of this is that over 50 percent of the eligible voters, who pay no taxes, can elect our representatives in perpetuity.
The Republican Party and some religions perceive it an inalienable right and an obligation for anyone to have children they either cannot afford or do not want. They believe that society is totally responsible for family welfare. They enable people to have the right to intentionally neglect their 12 years of education opportunities and opt for the lower standard of living that welfare provides.
This and the Carbon Tax will be the beginning of the end of America as a super power.
