I made it through the S&L crisis, a whole lot poorer, but still alive.

I figure you must not have been alive at that time, or perhaps you weren’t old enough to remember it. The S&L crisis was bad for anyone who had anything saved or invested in particular places, but it was NOTHING LIKE THIS. This is a GENERAL COLLAPSE. The difference is, there is NO SAFE BANK. There are no safe havens.

The money printed to cover the S&L Crisis was not even a blip on the graph. The money printed to bail out the big banks, not to make them solvent but only to make them APPEAR solvent, has gone beyond what ANY developed country ANYWHERE has EVER done. The ONLY comparison is Zimbabwe. We have done what Zimbabwe has done. If you doubt it, just take a look at the graphs of the money supply.

At the same time, nations, corporations, and individuals are deleveraging.

The Christmas season is already a complete bust, regardless how the media mogules try to deceive you.

This is a global economic meltdown on steroids. It’s beyond anything anyone has ever experienced in our lifetimes. It’s beyond anything any once powerful, wealthy nation has ever experienced in our lifetimes. It’s gone beyond the Weimar Republic example already and is now taking the same form as the General Collapse of 1602.
You are out of touch. There is something wrong with your denial. Where have you been for the last 2 years?
