LORD MONCKTON & PETER SCHIFF: Dollar Is TOAST…”Crash That Is COMING Will Be ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE Worse Than 2008″….Prepare For Years Without Food

Obama has done it. He has brought America down. It only took him just over four years. The Republicans could have stopped him. They didn’t…

If you thought the crash of 2008 was bad, think again. The crash that is coming –I cannot put a date on it, but it is not far away now – will be orders of magnitude worse.

So, what should you do to protect yourself and your family? First, get rid of every dollar you have. Dollars are now all but worthless. When the crash comes, they will have no value at all.

In hard times, most financial instruments – currencies, stocks, bonds – are not worth the paper they are printed on. Get rid of them now. Buy silver coins. They will quintuple in price once the crash sets in, and they are small enough to be fungible when the dollar dies.

Buy land, some of it well-wooded, some of it arable, some of it grassland. You will need the timber to power your steam tractor. Gasoline will be a costly rarity. And make sure you can defend yourselves. Starving mobs are no respecters of persons. Do what the Mormons do: Get three months’ supply of imperishable foodstuffs and hide them in the basement.

Absurd though this advice may now seem, there is a real danger that the crash will sudden. If so – perhaps for several months, and even for years – the fabric of civilization, including the food-supply chain, will fail.

It is not my custom to write in millenarian or apocalyptic terms. But the very best that can be said for your current administration is that it simply has no idea what damage it is doing. It is printing money in the vain hope of buying itself time. Yet every fake dollar that comes off the printing-presses makes the problem worse and the solution harder.

At worst, what is now happening to your nation may be deliberate. In that event, your current “president” will go down as history’s greatest villain. In any event, he will go down as history’s greatest incompetent.

Do not believe none of this can happen. Psychiatrists study what they call “normalcy bias.” People expect that everything will carry on and that America is too big to fail. She is not. She has failed. You will pay a heavy price for her failure, unless you act now to defend yourselves against what your government, with the culpable, silent acquiescence of the GOP, is doing to destroy your nation.

Finally, pray. God bless America. It has been nice knowing you. Only when you are gone will the world realize how much it misses you, and – paradoxically – how much it owes you.

Peter Schiff: “When The Real Crash Comes It Will Be Worse Than the Great Depression”

“The United States is like the Titanic, and I’m here with the lifeboat trying to get people to leave the ship… I see a real financial crisis coming for the United States.”

Peter Schiff
August 2006

In 2006, when he faced off with many well known Titans of investing and warned of an impending financial disaster and economic collapse, Peter Schiff was laughed at by his colleagues. He urged Americans to exit financial markets and take steps to protect themselves before the wealth held in their savings accounts, retirement investments and real estate was wiped out.

Few listened.

We know what happened next.

Now, those same financial experts who publicly vilified Schiff for his predictions six years ago are at it again. Many, including our politicians, central bankers and leading economists, have unequivocally stated that the worst is behind us, and that a global recovery is on the horizon.

Once again, Peter Schiff disagrees:

“I think we are heading for a worse economic crisis than we had in 2007,” Schiff said.  “You’re going to have a collapse in the dollar…a huge spike in interest rates… and our whole economy, which is built on the foundation of cheap money, is going to topple when you pull the rug out from under it.”

Schiff says that, despite “phony” signs of an economic recovery, the cancer destroying America stems from a lethal concoction of our $16 trillion federal debt and the Fed’s never ending money printing.

According to Schiff, these numbers are unsustainable. And the Fed has no credible “exit strategy.”

Eventually interest rates will rise… and when they do, Schiff says, stocks will tank and bonds dip to nothing. Massive new tax hikes will be imposed and programs and entitlements will be cut to the bone.

“The crisis is imminent,” Schiff said.  ”I don’t think Obama is going to finish his second term without the bottom dropping out. And stock market investors are oblivious to the problems.”

“We’re broke, Schiff added.  ”We owe trillions. Look at our budget deficit; look at the debt to GDP ratio, the unfunded liabilities. If we were in the Eurozone, they would kick us out.”

“The Fed knows that the U.S. economy is not recovering,” he noted. “It simply is being kept from collapse by artificially low interest rates and quantitative easing. As that support goes, the economy will implode.”

A noted economist, Schiff has been a fierce critic of the Fed and its policies for years. And his warnings have proven to be prophetic.

His recent warnings, however, have been even more alarming.  Will they also prove to be true?

In his most recent book, “The Real Crash” How to Save Yourself and Your Country“, Schiff writes that
when the “real crash” comes,” it will be worse than the Great Depression.

Unemployment will skyrocket, credit will dry up, and worse, the dollar will collapse completely, “wiping out all savings and sending consumer prices into the stratosphere.”

“All we can do now is prepare for the crash,” Schiff said. “If we brace ourselves properly and control the impact, we will survive it.”

Peter Schiff: Dollar Devaluation Imminent

Roubini: No Stock Bubble, but ‘Huge’ Crash Could Come Later

Stocks aren’t in bubble territory as yet, but a “huge rally in risk assets” over the next two years puts markets in danger of a big crash, renowned economist Nouriel Roubini said on Tuesday.

Roubini added that there is a “huge gap between sentiment on Wall Street and the main street,” and the real U.S. economy remains weak.

Most people in this country today have no understanding whatsoever of what is coming. This is not about a temporary bump in the road, this is going to be about a total, long term, or possibly even permanent change in the way people live their lives. Say goodbye to all facets of the relatively easy lifestyle we have all lived for decades, and say hello to uncertainty, hunger, danger, misery, poverty and yes, even mass death on a scale most people alive today cannot even comprehend.

The world that is coming, will require people to be smart, self-sufficient, resourceful, hard working and prepared defend themselves and their family, to survive. Basically, it will require all the traits that have so carefully been removed from people over the last few generations by the government, which means we are in for a disaster of epic proportions. I would not be surprised if millions of people will die almost immediately, with many millions more to follow, because these days there is only a tiny minority of people who are capable of living through what is coming.

Everyone should enjoy the time we have left in paradise as much as possible, while using it as your last opportunity to prepare as quickly as you can, because soon your life is literally going to depend on what steps you are taking right now.

      Hmmm…very true.
No need to laugh about it, though.

So, here is a question for the economists out there…how large of an expansion can the FED grow their balance sheet purchasing treasury issues, mortgage debt, etc until it becomes untenable? What controls or dictates this sequence?

The west is so politically and economically intertwined that the collapse will be so profound it will be the end of an epoch. In 1929 there was still some separation that when the economic sphere collapsed the political sphere was able to step in and save them both. Not so anymore.
We have already entered the Banana Republic phase on our way to the Third World.
