Five military check points in Al Arish and Sheikh Zweid cities in north Sinai have been attacked, at the same time, by unknown gunmen, according to Al Jazeera sources.
No injuries have been reported yet, and security sources said extra military forces were being deployed to Al Arish.
Earlier, one soldier was reported dead in a clash in Rafah.
