The issue is the democrats aren’t for it, not because there base doesn’t want it, it’s because they’re trying to create their own base.
I honestly don’t understand how moronic people could be to just ignore how convenient it is to want free immigration + no voter ID. It’s not like those go hand in hand at all and it’s not like one party in particular strongly pushes it despite knowing the majority of actual American Citizens do not want it to be that way. They want your voice taken away because they want complete control forever.
