“More than two-thirds of the population of sub-Saharan Africa is without electricity, and more than 85% of those living in rural areas lack access,” the White House said in a statement.

Sub-Saharan Africa will need more than $300 billion to achieve universal electricity access by 2030, the statement said.

The preliminary setup will include Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria , Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique.

“These countries have set ambitious goals in electric power generation, and are making the utility and energy sector reforms to pave the way for investment and growth,” the statement said.

US infrastructure spending..

The United States’ global rank in infrastructure has dropped off considerably from where it was four years ago, both in absolute and relative terms, according to a recent report.

U.S. infrastructure ranked 14th in the world this year, a full seven slots lower than it was in 2008, according to the Global Competitiveness Report for 2012-2013, which was released earlier this month by the World Economic Forum.

The news comes as word spreads about the collapse of the Interstate 5 bridge in Washington State, which fell into the Skagit River on Thursday night, sending at least two cars into the river and at least three people to the hospital. Another 700 bridges in the state have even worse sufficiency scores than the bridge that collapsed, according to the AP.

Obama, travels around on our money, giving away even more of our money away to foreigners, in the hopes of securing political favors, while the people hold their hands out, take OUR MONEY, and laugh at his stupidity. This country is a bankrupt joke, with a treasonous moron who is taking us all on a one-way trip to Hell.
