Obama Appointee Who Heads U.S. Nuclear Security Agency Is Hacked By “Guccifer”
In 2010, Obama nominated Miller, 55, for the principal deputy administrator’s post at NNSA (she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in August 2010). Following the departure of the agency’s administrator in January, Miller stepped up into the post of acting administrator.
Miller, who has top secret security clearances, runs an agency with a broad portfolio of nuclear-related responsibilities, including managing and securing the nation’s nuclear weapons and keeping weapons of mass destruction “out of the hands of state and non-state actors.” The NNSA has a $12 billion annual budget, 2500 employees, and 35,000 other contract workers.
Hacker news: Guccifer strikes again, hacktivist Hammond pleads guilty
The hacker “Guccifer” who gained fame for targeting former President George W. Bush and former secretaries of state Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell announced via The Smoking Gun last week that he has now hacked the email account of National Intelligence Council Chairman Christopher Kojm.
Guccifer, who struck fear in the hearts of politicians after accessing high-level email accounts, briefly detoured into attacks on Sex and the City creator Candace Bushnell and famed Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein, granting a reprieve to political elites.
Meet Guccifer, the merry prankster revealing the secrets of our political elite
Guccifer first launched onto the top of the Web heap in early February, after leaking emails and photographs belonging to the Bush family to The Smoking Gun. The hacker told TSG that he had breached a total of six email addresses belonging to people close to two former U.S. presidents, including Dorothy Bush Koch, daughter of George H. W. Bush.
In correspondence with TSG, Guccifer claimed to have a lot of “interesting” emails spanning from 2009 to 2012. But the most substantial thing to come out of the leak was a cache of photos showing paintings by George W. Bush, including a coy self-portrait of our 43rd president taking a shower. Guccifer would later go on to supply Gawker with many more of W’s paintings – a large portion of which are of dogs.
Hacker ‘Guccifer’ goes after George W. Bush and billionaire mogul with latest breaches
Previously Guccifer has taken claim with hacking the email account belonging to Dorothy Bush Koch — the sister of the forty-third US president — and earlier this week released sensitive intelligence memos allegedly sent to Hillary Clinton, the secretary of state during Pres. Barack Obama’s first term in office.
Now Guccifer has emailed The Smoking Gun from inside of the AOL email account registered to Doerr, a billionaire board member of both Google and Amazon with ties to the White House.
