In both China and America the pathologies are self inflicted. In both polities massively corrupt, greedy, vain and coercive Regimes have amplified and are ruthlessly exploiting these pathologies for self aggrandizement and self perpetuation. In this regard the US and Chinese Regimes are identical in appetites and tropes. Only the tactics and personalities differ.
However, ordinary Americans and Chinese are NOT alike in two important ways:
1. Most Americans still remember what it is to be free and a great majority still strongly believe in the (now dishonored and betrayed) Constitution and yearn for the restoration of personal and property rights.
2. Demographically, China is facing generations of irreversible decline: which means it has the worst demographic profile of any major nation; worse even than Russia.
No Nation ever ascended to sustained global primacy and prosperity while facing the intractable demographic decline that China now confronts. Power and wealth simply cannot increase when the pool of workers is on the cusp of sharp and long term decline and the number of aging, feeble, people is on the verge of increasing dramatically. China, in the main, will grow old and feeble and perhaps sick before it has time to become rich and healthy.
Of course hundreds of Chinese companies and hundreds of millions of Chinese will do very well and the Chinese military will still be one of the most potent on the planet but China will never be a hyperpower.
In dramatic contrast, America is the ONLY advanced Nation and only one of two big nations in the world(India being the other) with a growing population.
Should a successful middle class rebellion purge and expel the current US Regime and restore personal and property rights, America will rediscover the blessings of liberty.
Population growth+Liberty= Expanding Capacity to create Long Term Wealth
Moreover, should America be free and prosperous again it will find that within 40 years it will be inhabiting a world where the largest Nation in the world in terms of people and economy is not, as the MSM like to babble, China but India. In notably less than a generation India will have more workers than China and in less than 2 generations India will have more workers than China, the US and Japan combined.
Fortunately for Americans,, India is already the largest democracy and English speaking Nation in the world and believes( far more than people in the West) in entrepreneurship, risk taking and private innovation as drivers of growth.
