QUESTIONS THE SENATE NEEDS TO BE ASKING BERNANKE:

1) Why have you refused to regulate the banks for which you have that authority?
2) Why have you refused to protect borrowers against predatory acts?
3) Why have you grown credit when that was the root cause of the current mess?
4) Why have you acted to prop up banks and stock markets as your primary goal?
5) Why have you intentionally concealed the terms of the massive bailouts?
6) Why have you taken on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Securities when it appears the Federal Reserve has no right to do so in its charter as they do not qualify as they are not backed by the full faith and credit of the Federal government?
7) Where did you get the money from at the Federal Reserve to expand your balance sheet from around $800 billion in 2007 to the current estimated $2.2 trillion?
The Senate needs to obtain REAL ANSWERS to these questions as a part of considering confirming him for a second term. If he cannot supply satisfactory and honest answers then he simply should not be confirmed and should be shown the door.
