Reasons why the Depression is far from over.

#1. Commercial real estate has just begun to collapse.

#2. No way out of the National debt other than inflate our way out.

#3. An economy based on consumption driven by debt for 70% of its growth won’t work when the banks won’t lend.

#4. The worn out phrase “Small business is the driving force that creates jobs” won’t work when the banks are not lending, and small business can’t get loans.

#5. Home foreclosures won’t peak until 2011.

#6. More job losses on the horizon.

#7. States need to balance their budgets which will mean more layoffs.

ABC news which I watch only to see the spin they put on stories did a piece about a company of 30 cabinet makers that were really down and out, they decided to get approved to bid for govt contracts. After 6months of paperwork and all the other nonsense putting in bid after bid they didn’t get 1 piece of business. They will downsize to under 10 people to try and survive and they were O supporters before this happened.
