San Francisco threatens to sue Nevada over ‘poor patient dumping’


City officials in San Francisco, California are considering taking legal action against the neighboring state of Nevada for allegedly dumping psychiatric patients in the state. One of the 1,500 patients came forward and claimed that a hospital paid for his one-way ticket to California and is now filing a civil rights lawsuit. Allen Lichtenstein with the ACLU of Nevada weighs on the alleged practice.
