Sarah Palin has Tweeted her support for Chick-Fil-A’s anti-gay tirade claiming the chicken sandwich chain was ‘a great business’.
Just before 10pm last night, the Republican posted a tweet saying she ‘stopped by’ Chick-Fil-A to support the embattled restaurant, which sparked controversy after publicly shunning homosexual couples last week.
The former Christian politician also posted a photograph of her and her husband on her Facebook page, grinning as they clutched their Chick-Fil-A bags.
The company saw the death of the company’s vice president of public relations Don Perry on Friday, at the height of the drama that kicked off when Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy told the country: ‘We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit.’
Reiterating his stance during an appearance on ‘The Ken Coleman Show,’ Mr Cathy claimed we were ‘inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.”
Mr Perry reportedly passed away from a massive heart attack as the fast food restaurant continued to fight a bitter public relations battle over its opposition to gay marriage, something h had been coordinating.
