Speaking of Romer, here is a quote from an article printed this weekend on Bloomberg.com

“Romer said the administration will continue pursuing measures such as tax credits for businesses to expand and hire and spending on infrastructure, though not on the scale of the $787 billion stimulus enacted last year.” from Obama Adviser Romer says US may soon add jobs.
I love the end of this quote “though not on the scale of the 787 billion stimulus enacted last year”…so I’m assume $ 786 billion? lol hey its 1 billion less
Also “job growth” is only coming from 2010 Census.

Also this article states that over 700k of jobs are forcasted to be added in May alone due mostly to the Census. Even with the gov. hiring for the Census, 700k is a pretty big number…analysists might be setting themselves up for a big disapointment.
One final point in this article is that it states the stimulus bill Obama signed last Feb. is enough to hire over 1.4 million workers for the Census. Well why didn’t they just tell us that? I mean I’m sure America would of been pleased to know that this stimulus that promised to kick start the economy, including employment, is being used to hire temporary workers that will be laid off by the end of the year. (Sarcasim of course).
Obama was elected president with a logo of the sun setting on the US:

Finally, just a quick request….if anyone can find the % of the stimulus signed last Feb. that will need to be used to hire the 1.4 million for the Census compared with other areas in which the stimulus was spent on, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
