A 12-year-old Sebastopol girl was recovering Thursday night from a nearly-fatal case of flesh-eating bacteria that almost left her without a leg.
The medical nightmare began when Missy Pendleton suffered a 6-inch cut to her knee, requiring her to get six stitches, after she bumped into a metal sheep stand.
