STATES TURN TO CHARITY FOR WELFARE

The sour economy, persistently-high unemployment and resulting growth of American poverty have starved states of welfare funding, forcing up to a third to turn to outside groups like the YMCA to help them meet Washington’s demand that they spend almost as much as Uncle Sam to assist the poor.

A new Government Accountability Office report reveals the huge growth in the number of recession-wracked states that have desperately turned to outside [...]

Selective Unemployment: US Slows Immigration To Save American Jobs

The US is apparently slowing legal immigration in an attempt to save American jobs but almost ironically legal immigrants are job creators.

The United States remains highly selective over just who it allows in from abroad to set up a business. The authorities fear the outsiders may take jobs from ordinary Americans – but they’re the ones who could in fact be providing them.

Mohamed El-Erian: Fed meeting shows the US is in ‘policy purgatory’

From FT:

The Fed’s attempt to overcome its policy dilemma has little chance of succeeding given the degree of political dysfunction in Washington. It is only a matter of weeks until, once again, Fed officials will feel compelled to act, and despite full knowledge that their measures will have limited effectiveness in delivering desired outcomes.

2012, Time Travel and the Philadelphia Experiment

EXCERPT:

So everything is locked in until 10.000AD?

Yes. It’s a dreamlike reality. No one has picked up a tangible future beyond 2012 AD. There is a very abrupt wall there with nothing on the other side.

Why was it mentioned at one time that 2011 was the last year that they could see anything tangible?

It was mentioned in the Mayan calendar that 2011-2013 was a barrier of some kind. Psychics have said [...]

China’s growing influence in Latin America worries Congress

The US has set its sights on a new region of the globe – the Asia Pacific. It’s all an attempt to keep close tabs on China – a power gaining significant influence in the region. But China has a plan of its own and are forming a close alliance with America’s southern neighbors and this is alarming some members of Congress including Representative Dana Rohrabacker. RT’s Kristine Frazao sat [...]

In another attempt to censor the Internet SOPA is reborn by Congress this time as the Intellectual Property Attache Act.

In the past several months, Congress has attempted to police and control the Internet with bills such as PIPA, SOPA and CISPA. But due to blackout campaigns by websites such as Wikipedia, Google and Reddit and protest from citizens, the legislation has been shot down repeatedly. Now the hydra has reared [...]

Of this, gold exports to its eastern neighbour accounted for the bulk of the increase. Nearly $1.4bn worth of gold was exported to Iran, accounting for 84 per cent of [...]

Biderman: “The World Cannot Go Back To The Way It Was”

In browsing the last seven months of video commentary that Charles Biderman, of TrimTabs, has produced, he is clear on one thing, “nothing has changed”. With an ‘admittedly rigged’ stock market now at the behest of global central banks and the slow-motion train-wreck in Europe seemingly approaching the end of its can-kicking-road, Biderman is frustrated by the inane financial media’s perpetual belief that we are ‘a grand plan’ away from [...]

MUST-READ: The biggest Federal Reserve “money printing” in history could be coming soon

From A Lightning War for Liberty:

Those who know me understand clear as crystal that I don’t approve of massive money printing. I think it is theft, plain and simple, and represents an egregiously deceptive manner of transferring wealth from the poor to the wealthy and from the productive to parasitic financial oligarchs.

That being said, the world we live in is being led by a bunch of crooked banksters and the [...]

Government is the Biggest Security Threat in History

Infowars.com
Sunday, May 13, 2012

Everywhere you look government is bullying the population in an attempt to dominate and subjugate the people.

Our once free Republic is being transformed into a high tech nanny state controlled by dim-witted control freaks.

Above I break down a daily snapshot of the feeding frenzy that is tyranny’s courtship. Government is and has always been the biggest threat facing humanity. I weep for our children.

Obama: I’m not trying to ‘redistribute wealth’

President Obama, who famously called for tax increases on the wealthy to “spread the wealth around,” denied today that his tax increases on the rich are an attempt to “redistribute wealth.”

“So these investments — in things like education and research and health care — they haven’t been made as some grand scheme to redistribute wealth from one group to another,” the president said today at Florida Atlantic University. “This is not some [...]

The stock market is approaching a super-important level

From Market Anthropology:

Considering where the market currently trades, it seems like a foregone conclusion that the SPX will at the very least attempt to kiss the monthly meridian that currently sits around 1,442. I believe it is also significant to note the May 2008 retracement level that is directly beneath the meridian at 1,440.

It is a very interesting confluence that may present a changing room for bulls and bears to [...]

The World’s Balance Sheet: The bulk of the world’s assets also happen to be its liabilities!

It is rather surprising that in a world in which anything and everything is only about money, it is next to impossible to find a consolidated balance sheet of the world’s insolvent economies (i.e., the developed countries: US, Japan and the Euro Area). So for all those seeking a visual presentation of all the liabilities that have to be inflated away by the central banks (because that’s what this is [...]

Canadian court legalizes brothels and pimping to try to make prostitution ‘less dangerous’

A top Canadian court legalized pimping and brothels Monday in an attempt to make prostitution less dangerous.

The landmark decision by the Ontario Court of Appeals ruled that a previous ban on brothels puts prostitutes at risk and was unconstitutional.

‘The record is clear that the safest way to sell sex is for a prostitute to work indoors, in a location under her control,’ the judges said in their ruling.

Although pimping and [...]

Santorum Suggests Obama Preferable to “Etch-A-Sketch” Romney.

Rick Santorum’s latest attempt to use a Mitt Romney aide’s “Etch-A-Sketch” remark against the Republican front-runner instead gave his rival a chance to fire back on Thursday, after Santorum seemed to say he’d rather see President Obama reelected than send Romney to the White House.

Speaking at an event in Texas, Santorum again made the case that Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom’s comments Wednesday on CNN about a “reset” of the campaign [...]

LIMBAUGH SORRY TO STUDENT

A Statement from Rush

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week.  In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I [...]

Why Obama’s new mortgage plan is already “dead on arrival”

From Zero Hedge:

Obama’s latest attempt to stimulate the housing sector and inflate home prices “before waiting for them to hit bottom” (which they never will as long as central planning tries to define what clearing prices are) is a noble reincarnation of now an annual, and completely ineffectual, theatrical gambit. There is, unfortunately, one major snag. It is Dead on Arrival (just like every single iteration of the Greek bailout), [...]

I don’t think indicators of any kind are going to be very accurate in this market…

Tell that to the 46 million on food stamps. Economic indicators are fine for markets, but do not reflect the impact to the everyday person, most of which have nothing in the market. With fewer involved in the markets and huge flows into the mattress.

“….in the first 11 months of last year investors poured more than eight times more money into checking and savings accounts than into Fed-inspired risk assets [...]

Republican Corruption: The New Republican Primary Rules Make It Possible For The Republican Establishment To Steal The Nomination From A Candidate They Don’t Like

by The American Dream

New Republican primary rules are going to make it basically impossible for any candidate to wrap up the Republican nomination very early in 2012.  In fact, the new Republican primary rules make a “brokered convention” much more likely and they also make it much more likely that the Republican establishment will attempt to steal the nomination away from a candidate that they do not like.  How exactly they [...]
