A 19-year-old Syrian and a 21-year-old British man were sentenced to death in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for allegedly selling marijuana to an undercover policeman.

Man with six roasted fetuses arrested in Thailand

A British citizen in Bangkok has been arrested after Thai police found six roasted human foetuses packed in his luggage.

Chow Hok Kuen, who is 28 and of Taiwanese origin, was held by police after the grisly discovery was made in Bangkok’s Chinatown district yesterday.

Reports says the six foetuses had been covered in gold leaf after being roasted as part of a black magic ritual.

Briton, 21, gets 12 months in jail after FBI and Yard tracks him down for hacking into Facebook

A 21-year-old British man has been sentenced to a year in jail for hacking into the private Facebook account of an individual in the U.S.

Scotland Yard said yesterday that Gareth Crosskey, of West Sussex, had hacked into a U.S. citizen’s Facebook account on 12 January 2011. As a result he had gained access to the individual’s private e-mail account.

Small quantities of processed meat such as bacon, sausages or salami can increase the likelihood of dying within 30 years by a fifth, researchers from Harvard School of Medicine found. Eating steak increases the risk of dying by 12%.

Galliano guilty in anti-Semitism case – AP

PARIS (AP) — A Paris court has convicted former Christian Dior designer John Galliano for making anti-Semitic insults and gave him a suspended sentence of euro6,000 ($8,400) in fines.
