Sudden and large snow load could also factor in triggering a quake
Latest NAM has it at 976mb
Got a small quake 5 hrs ago.

Was felt in a number of towns in New Jersey.
IMHO, this was caused by the rebounding of the NAM plate from Sandy’s pressure drop.
Region is now unstable.
Nor’easter due mid-week will cause a sudden pressure drop in the area again and could set off a big quake [...]
Mayor Bloomberg has snubbed Borough President Markowitz’s impassioned plea to bring the National Guard to Hurricane Sandy-scarred Brooklyn — arguing that approving the Beep’s request would be a waste of federal manpower and turn the borough into a police state.
“We don’t need it,” Mayor Bloomberg said on Wednesday during a press update on the city’s ongoing Hurricane Sandy cleanup. “The NYPD is the only people we want on the street [...]

Perhaps not so shockingly, AP is reporting tonight that satellite images of Iranian military facilities show trucks and other earth moving vehicles. Diplomats, accredited to the IAEA, suggest thisindicates attempted cleanup of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger. There will be a lot of ecological damage to the environment. The cleanup will take a long time, and nature will take more than many lifetimes to absorb and revert back most of the damage that the cleanup could not fix.
