Residents in a Cumberland County community were left wondering Tuesday morning what caused dozens of birds to drop dead from the sky.

Residents along Peach Drive in Millville found around 75 to 80 birds — many red-winged blackbirds — on the ground dead having fallen from trees and the sky. One neighbor even said he saw the birds falling out of the air.
