Researchers Developing Smartphone Tech That Detects Depression

CHICAGO (CBS) — Researchers at Northwestern University are developing a smart phone that can sense whether you’re falling victim to depression.

As WBBM Newsradio’s Regine Schlesinger reports, psychologist David Mohr has been adapting phones as a virtual therapist for patients prone to depression.

This is the FBI’s publication on officer line-of-duty deaths.
There are some extremely important take away lessons in here, though it’s a painful read.

I’d be interested in talking over some of the incidents, what went wrong and how to keep sharp and avoid potentially falling victim to pre-emptive violence.

EU make progress…… slowly!

At the weekend, European leaders outlined plans to aid banks and also ruled out using the European Central Bank’s (ECB) balance sheet to boost the rescue fund, inching painfully slowly toward a revamped strategy to contain the Greece-fueled debt crisis.

Interestingly, the weekend’s summit was the 13th crisis-management summit in just 21 months. With another planned for Wednesday when we should see further details and agreement.

SAVE THE EURO: Sarkozy, Merkel in emergency meeting

French President Nicolas Sarkozy called a eurozone crisis meeting with his German counterpart while Italy promised cuts and tax hikes Thursday as its part in the battle to save the single currency.
