WA. state employee accused of stealing food card benefits.

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

The Department of Social and Health Services says a worker in a Pierce County office took food benefits worth more than $3,200 by using a former client’s EBT card.

The department says 44-year-old Tammy McElroy of Graham was arrested Tuesday by the Washington State Patrol and jailed for investigation of Unlawful Redemption of Food Stamps.
