These stocks are even more expensive than Facebook

From Bespoke Investment Group:

We’ve read quite a few articles showing how far down Facebook (FB) would have to trade to have a valuation that’s similar to big blue-chip tech names like Apple (AAPL), Google (GOOG), and Microsoft (MSFT). This kind of analysis is done to show that Facebook shares are overvalued. But the analysis can go the other way as well. There are 34 stocks in the Russell 1,000 that [...]

Doolittle says the S&P could fall 18 percent to as much as 44 percent.

Stocks are at their most oversold levels since the doom days of the financial crisis and may be due for a rally, according to one measure.

Though the relative decline seems tame in comparison, the 7 percent drop since early April in the S&P 500 index [.SPX  1295.22    -9.64  (-0.74%)   ] compared to recent trends is on par with tumbles during the financial crisis, as well as low points [...]

These could be the stocks to avoid in a euro meltdown. If Europe’s problems continue, this trend should continue…

From Bespoke Investment Group:

The average stock in the S&P 500 is down more than 6.5% since the April 2nd market peak. We ran our decile analysis on the index focusing on international revenues to see how much Europe and other parts of the world are impacting U.S. stocks.

To run the analysis, we broke the index into deciles (10 groups of 50 stocks each) based on the percentage of revenues that [...]

One of the world’s worst-performing markets could be starting a new long-term rally

From Bespoke Investment Group:

When an index or stock is above its 200-day moving average, it is considered to be in a longterm uptrend, and vice versa when trading below the 200-day.

China’s Shanghai Composite finally broke back above its 200-day today after trading below it for the past…

This “Dow Theory” signal could be a bullish sign for stocks

From Bespoke Investment Group:

For a month or so now, the bears have been arguing that the Dow Transports as well as small-cap stocks have been underperforming… and therefore not confirming the new highs being made in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and the S&P 500.

Today, however, both the Dow Transportation Index and the Russell 2000 (small caps) are back to their bull market highs. The fact that…

by Viknesh Vijayenthiran

This post originally appeared on Motor Authority.

One year ago, legendary Italian marque De Tomaso, rejuvenated by former Fiat exec Gian Mario Rossignolo and his family, unveiled the peculiar SLS (Sport Luxury Sedan) concept car at the Geneva Motor Show.

Many questioned why a brand famous for building exotic sports cars would suddenly venture into the world of luxury sedans, but Rossignolo was adamant that the SLS would sell and boasted that up to 3,000 examples could be built per [...]

An Apple MANIA could be starting

From Bespoke Investment Group:

… While there are no $17,000 price targets for shares of AAPL (yet), with the stock topping $500 per share on Monday, there is a vigorous debate as to what price the stock should realistically trade at. Is the current price overvalued, undervalued, or fairly valued?

At times like this, it often helps to compare the stock in question to similar stocks to see how they are valued. [...]
