Vietnam government tries to quash anti China demonstrations:

Security forces in Vietnam forcibly broke up an anti-China rally in Hanoi Sunday by detaining protesters and journalists covering the event.

As soon as protesters gathered within sight of the Chinese embassy in Vietnam’s capital, police herded them onto buses, along with journalists and cameramen recording the rally.

According to Japanese news sources, Japanese whalers tested 6 of 17 whales captured 650 kilometers north-east of the Fukushima nuclear reactor.
