Keep your wits about you folks. Reddit and other social media platforms are full of impressionable young minds trying hard to understand the upcoming election, and these candidates, their superpacs, and “unaffiliated” corporate and multinational entities know it. They think we’re idiots, and, for the most part, they might be right, but that doesn’t mean we have to be useful idiots.
Think hard about everything you read, and understand that some of [...]
Don’t touch that dial – a new study has found that twenty-somethings switch between electronic devices and media platforms every two minutes, light years faster than older generations.
The study, titled ‘A Biometric Day in the Life,’ was commissioned by Time Inc. and conducted by Boston’s Innerscope Research.
The goal was to understand the media consumption habits of ‘digital natives,’ or consumers who grew up with mobile technology, and ‘digital immigrants,’ consumers who learned [...]
“Currency is sound only when it is recognized through the actions of the market , without coercion… If you can be forced to accept the government’s increasingly devalued dollar, there is no limit to how far the government will go to debauch the currency. Anyone who attempts to create a market based currency – meaning a currency with real value as determined by markets – threatens to embarrass the federal [...]
Back in September we noted a peculiar RFP by the Fed which sought to become a secret ‘big brother’ to the social media world, and to “monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria.” The Fed’s desired product should be able to “determine the sentiment of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document”… “The solution must be able to gather data from the primary [...]

Forbes is not merely reposting an interesting tidbit of news. It is broadcasting to a larger audience the seemingly impossible plan to “monitor billions of conversations on social media, [...]
According to CNBC, the Federal Reserve “is planning on monitoring what you say about it on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook”. As Zero Hedge explains, the Federal [...]
Two weeks ago, the media’s heart went aflutter when it learned that the president had borrowed a page right out of ole’ Joe McCarthy’s communist witch hunt book with the launch of Attack Watch. The response by everyone, even fans of Obama, was immediate and brutal. Yet where Obama took about 24 hours to crash and burn, someone else has stepped in with a [...]
In an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Ann Curry that will air on Tuesday’s show, President Barack Obama said that if he were Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner right now, he would resign in the wake of the scandal in which Weiner admitted to sending explicit photos of himself to women online.
“I can tell you that if it was me, I would resign,’’ Obama told Curry.
Weiner has been [...]
