The House has overwhelmingly voted to repeal Obamacare, by a vote of 244-185. Five Democrats joined 239 Republicans to vote for repeal, making it a bipartisan vote. No Republicans voted against repeal. Fox News reports: “House lawmakers voted Wednesday to repeal the federal health care overhaul — the latest in a long line of anti-”ObamaCare” votes, but the first since the Supreme Court upheld the law and defined one of its key provisions [...] The House approved a rule governing debate for the Republicans’ Repeal of Obamacare Act on Tuesday. Members voted 240-182 in favor of the rule, which sets up five hours of debate that will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. Democrats strongly oppose the bill, a sentiment reflected in the rule vote. Only four Democrats supported the rule, and every voting Republicans favored it. Democrats voting for the rule were Reps. Dan Boren (Okla.), [...] Rep. Dennis Cardoza, D-Calif., announced his retirement from Congress this afternoon — and he issued a scathing parting shot at President Obama‘s track record on his way out.
