LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —A robbery and murder suspect was shot by police following a lengthy car chase in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday.

‘She was so smart… she never did anything wrong’: Mother’s agony after ‘boyfriend murders four-year-old by throwing her down the stairs’

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after throwing his girlfriend’s four-year-old daughter down the stairs in a violent rampage, according to police.

Travis Gauldin called 911 on Thursday night claiming Malisa De La Sancha had fallen down the stairs at her Piqua, Ohio home on his watch.

The little girl suffered severe head injuries and died in hospital two days later.

Suspect Bales ‘Took My Life Savings,’ Says Retiree

Robert Bales, the staff sergeant accused of massacring Afghan civilians, enlisted in the U.S. Army at the same time he was trying to avoid answering allegations he defrauded an elderly Ohio couple of their life savings in a stock fraud, according to federal documentsreviewed by ABC News.

Newport News, Va., murder suspect on loose after escaping from Washington, D.C., court cell

WASHIGTON, D.C. (WAVY) – A Newport News murder suspect escaped Friday from a DC Superior Court Cellblock.

According to a release from the U.S. Marshall Service how 24-year-old James Brewer escaped is still under investigation.

Brewer was arrested in Newport News July 14 and was presented in DC Superior Court Friday on first degree murder charges.
