The biggest Benghazi-related story that took place outside of the House Oversight Committee’s hearing room today is this item in Politico, regarding CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson.  She’s the reporter who famously drew White House officials’ profane ire over her unapologetic pursuit of the Fast & Furious scandal story; now she’s apparently facing searing criticism from another source: Her own bosses.  Why?  Because she’s been covering the Benghazi story too aggressively.  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you media bias:

ABCNEWS taking steps to stop reporting inaccuracies

ABC News president Ben Sherwood told staff today that last Friday’s incorrect report by Brian Ross detracts from the network’s otherwise excellent coverage of the Colarado theater shooting, network sources tell POLITICO.

Sherwood’s remarks, made on the network’s daily editorial conference call, came the morning after Ross’s report was picked up by late night comedians John Stewart and Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central, both of whom used Ross’s erroneous suggestion of a Tea Party link [...]

ROMNEY TO MEET PRESS: INTERVIEWS NOW WITH ABC, CBS, NBC AND FOX… DEVELOPING…

Mitt Romney will hold interviews today with ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN that will run this evening, sources tell POLITICO.

The network interviews, which will be taped later this afternoon, will air during the nightly news casts.

Jon Karl will interview Romney for ABC; Peter Alexander for NBC; and Jan Crawford for CBS. Jim Acosta will interview Romney for CNN.
