I AM THE 53%! Thank You For Standing Up For Us, Mitt Romney!

I AM THE 53%

I’ve held a job (or created my job) since I was ELEVEN YEARS OLD. I decided, early on, that my family wasn’t the greatest of examples, and worked to overcome that disadvantage.

My first job was a paper route that I worked after school, six days a week, until I was 15. I worked as a Soda Jerk the summer of my twelth year, and have held a [...]

From Economic Policy Journal:

A day more significant than 9/11/01 should be marked in the history books: 8/16/12. On that day, an American minding his own business, outside of ranting on his Facebook page, was forcibly taken without charge from his home.

The muscle used to grab Brandon Raub was local Chesterfield County, VA police. Also present during the grab were agents of the FBI and of the Secret Service.

Both the FBI [...]

Overweight Passengers Are Eating Up The Airline Industry’s Profits

We are getting fatter. In Australia, the United States, and many other countries, it has become commonplace to see people so fat that they waddle rather than walk. The rise in obesity is steepest in the developed world, but it is occurring in middle-income and poor countries as well.

Is a person’s weight his or her own business? Should we simply become more accepting of diverse body shapes? I don’t think [...]

Can’t Even Urinate In His Own Yard Anymore

Wolf Richter   www.testosteronepit.com

While some people were fretting over Google’s new “privacy” policy that took effect March 1—“Calling this a ‘privacy policy’ is Orwellian doublespeak,” said John Simpson of Consumer Watchdog—others were counting the Google AdSense dollars from their blogs, hoping that Google could collect more user data so that ads would generate more revenues. Ka-ching. Just then, an insidious and at once funny information-age issue erupted in France, or more precisely in [...]

More Americans Move Abroad In Search of Job Opportunities

Derek Capo was living the high life. He was in his early 20s, an analyst at hedge fund Everest Capital monitoring international equities, and soaking up the weather and nightlife of his hometown of Miami.

But looking ahead, as he’d been trained to do, Capo didn’t like what he saw. The housing bust was starting to strangle the Florida economy, the stock market was looking increasingly erratic and he didn’t want [...]

Mind blowing speech by Robert Welch

What on earth is wrong with United States minding its own business?

Here’s what the US fired in Libya: http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/82584.html

Fifty million dollars of taxpayer money.

Interesting info on Greek cuts:

20% pay cut for all public/government workers
