Storms Turn Deadly; March East

An unusual January severe weather system that started Tuesday afternoon continued to barrel its way east Wednesday, stretching from the Deep South to the Mid-Atlantic.

The severe threat includes many major cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D.C., and southern New England could see 60 mph winds Wednesday night, forecasters said.
