BREAKING: Iran’s Plutonium-Making Reactor Now On-Line. Protected by Anti-Aircraft Missiles!!

Images show Iran’s Arak plant is operational

The Telegraph says Tehran operating Arak heavy-water production plant in effort to produce plutonium which can be used to make nuclear bomb. Plant protected by anti-aircraft missiles

The images show signs of activity at the Arak plant, located 150 miles south-west of Tehran, including a cloud of steam that indicates heavy-water production.

Iran Now Has Nuclear Bombs. Their program is successful.

Barack Obama now has this on his resume. Because of his anti Israel policies, he sat by and did nothing to stop Iran from successfully building nuclear weapons. They now have built the first of what will become hundreds of these weapons. Inevitably, they will be used on America and Americans around the world. Here are the details, complete with photos:

US nuclear test condemned by Iran, Japan

Iran has strongly condemned the US for carrying out a nuclear test in Nevada this week, saying the move threatens world peace and shows a hypocritical set of double standards set by Washington when it comes to nuclear research.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the Wednesday detonation proves that US foreign policy relies heavily on the use of nuclear weapons, disregarding UN calls for global disarmament, PressTV reports.

The experiment also drew [...]

More Fukushima Explosions. Panic in Japan.

If this is legit then Japan and the North American west coast are in deep shit.

http://www.tepco.co.jp/en/nu/f1-np/camera/index-e.html

Live camera shows no explosions they would have to be looping the video which would not be so hard to do…

Again tepco has lied from the start so who knows until we see some live footage… Or a real report…

They will not be able to keep it quite if it is burning someone with a [...]

Surviving A Nuclear War

Surviving a Nuclear war, especially in the Northern Hemisphere will be very difficult. Not only do you have to deal with Fallout from the Nuclear detentations, but the vast stock piles of nuclear waste from existing and shutdown nuclear power plants. There is far more nuclear material stored in Spent fuel pools than all of the Nuclear bombs. A typical Bomb make contain a few dozen kilograms of plutonium or [...]

Tepco Detects Record Radiation Levels At Fukushima

[...]

[Tepco] said Wednesday record amounts of radiation had been detected in the basement of reactor No. 1, further hampering clean-up operations.

[...]

Radiation levels above radioactive water in the basement reached up to 10,300 millisievert an hour, a dose that will kill humans within a short time after making them sick within minutes.

The annual allowed dose for workers at the stricken site is reached in only 20 seconds.

A Visual Tour of the Fuel Pools of Fukushima

Washington’s Blog
April 15, 2012

Do You Know What the Fuel Pools Actually Look Like?

You already know that Fukushima’s fuel pool number 4 may be the single greatest threat, but that pool number 3 is very dangerous as well.

You’ve heard that unit 3?s fuel pool contains less radioactive material than unit 4 … but still a tremendous amount of radiation. Scientific American reported last year:

The pools at each reactor are thought to have contained the [...]

17 workers at Idaho National Lab are treated after exposure to plutonium – Idaho State Journal

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Officials with the Idaho National Laboratory say at least 17 workers were exposed to low-level radiation from plutonium.

The employees were working inside the facility’s decommissioned Zero Power Physics Reactor Tuesday afternoon when a container holding plutonium was opened, exposing them to radiation.

The U.S. Is Unable To Account For 36k Pounds Of Its Own Weapons Grade Uranium And Plutonium

Handling plutonium

Image: DOE

Under special nuclear cooperation agreements, the United States sent 38,580 pounds of enriched uranium and plutonium to more than two-dozen foreign agencies and is unable to account for 36,000 pounds of the material.

The Government Accountability Office report says these 27 cooperation agreements, set up to facilitate cross border research, have no accountability and the U.S. has no way to enforce control.

Scientists: Radiation Will Pollute the Area Around Chernobyl For 5 to 10 Times Longer Than Models Predicted – Between 180 and 320 Years

By Washington’s Blog

The radioactive half life of cesium 137 is usually 30 years.

But scientists at the Savannah River National Laboratory say that the cesium at Chernobyl will persist in the environment between 5 and 10 times longer – between 180 and 320 years.

As Wired notes:

Cesium 137’s half-life — the time it takes for half of a given amount of material [...]

Japan: Strontium found!

TOKYO (Reuters) – Slight amounts of strontium, a heavy radioactive metal that could lead to leukemia, have been detected in soil and plants near the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, Japan’s science and technology ministry said on Tuesday.

Japan has already detected radioactive elements including iodine, cesium and plutonium, in areas near the plant operated by Tokyo Electric Power after reactors there were crippled due to a loss [...]

Plutonium harmless

This is the only bit of good news TEPCO has heard lately. The situation is going from bad to worse:

via BBC News:

The BBC’s Mark Worthington says many people in Japan are becoming increasingly concerned about what is going to happen in the future

Highly radioactive water has been found for the first time outside one of the reactor buildings at Japan’s quake-hit Fukushima nuclear plant, officials say.

The leak in a tunnel linked to the No 2 reactor has raised fears of radioactive liquid seeping [...]

It appears the plutonium discovered earlier, which according to some Japanese reports was so safe it was borderline edible, may not be all that safe.

Per the IAEA:

After taking soil samples at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, Japanese authorities today confirmed finding traces of plutonium that most likely resulted from the nuclear accident there. The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency told the IAEA that the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) had found concentrations of plutonium in two of five soil samples.

Traces of plutonium are not uncommon in [...]

Radiation vs. contamination

by Chris Martenson

One important distinction is that receiving enough ionizing radiation, whether in the form of alpha, beta, or gamma particles, or in the form of X-rays or other electromagetic irradiance, to become severely ill or worse, is a very difficult thing to do.

Ingesting a contaminant, such as a microscopic particle of plutonium, on the other hand, can be a lethal event even though the amount of radiation give off [...]
