Scientist Behind Alaska’s Area 51 Pleads Guilty to Fraud

In the history of U.S. military research, there’s never been a project with such a combination of big science, high sleaze, and pure conspiratorial strangeness. Yet somehow, some way, the story of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, or HAARP, just got sleazier and stranger — all thanks to an elderly physicist named Alfred Wong.

Wong was an early proponent of HAARP, who used the facility in his studies of [...]

The world’s most widely used insecticide is devastating dragonflies, snails and other water-based species, a groundbreaking Dutch study has revealed.

On Monday, the insecticide and two others were banned for two yearsfrom use on some crops across the European Union, due to the risk posed to bees and other pollinators, on which many food crops rely.

However, much tougher action in the form of a total worldwide ban is needed, according to the [...]

Iranian scientist claims to have invented ‘time Machine’ – it allows users to fast forward up to eight years into the future

An Iranian businessman claims to have mastered time with a machine that allows users to fast forward up to eight years into the future.

Ali Razeghi, a Tehran scientist has registered “The Aryayek Time Traveling Machine” with the state-run Centre for Strategic Inventions.

The device can predict the future in a print out after taking readings from the touch of a user, he told the Fars state newsagency.

Obama Calls Himself ‘Scientist-in-Chief’

At a speech this morning at the White House to outline a new science initiative, President Barack Obama named himself “Scientist-in-Chief.”

“I’m glad I’ve been promoted Scientist-in-Chief,” Obama said to laughter at the White House. “Given my grades in physics, I’m not sure it’s deserving.  But I hold science in proper esteem, so maybe that gives me a little credit.”

Obama said he brought together a lot of smart people, which would [...]

UK scientists exploring the ocean floor in the Caribbean have discovered an “astounding” set of hydrothermal vents, the deepest anywhere in the world.

Deploying a remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) in the Cayman Trough, they stumbled across a previously-unknown site nearly 5000m below the surface.

Video pictures relayed live back to the research ship mounting the operation show spindly chimneys up to 10m high.

They are belching out dark water – “a [...]

Quantum mechanics show that there is NO MASS…and thats a gamechanger

For almost a century science has known that there is NO MASS – only consciousness.

Did you know that ?

IF you did not know that – help me find out why this extremely important information didn’t reach you (….just as 98% of the population) ?

Spend a few minutes with scientist Amit Goswami and broaden your mind – if you get it……you will change.

Scientist makes bold prediction that war is on the wane

‘It may be difficult to believe, but according to research published next month a world without war may be getting nearer.

Futurologists from the University of Oslo in Norway and the Peace Research Institute Oslo have predicted that global conflict will halve in the next 40 years.

Their study claims the combination of higher education, lower infant mortality, smaller youth cohorts, and lower population growth are a few of the reasons why [...]

AIDS-like disease found in Asians in U.S. , trigger unknown

A mysterious new disease causes AIDS-like symptoms in Asians even though they are not infected with HIV, a research has found. The disease damages patients’ immune systems, but is not contagious.

The illness leaves patients unable to fight off germs. Some patients have died of overwhelming infections, including some Asians now living in the US, said Dr. Sarah Browne, a scientist at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who [...]

PC malware hits Iranian nuclear facilities

TEHRAN: Iranian nuclear facilities have reportedly been stuck by a computer worm that plays AC/DC’s hit song Thunderstruck repeatedly, and at full volume.

There has been no confirmation of the attack from Tehran, but the evidence stems from a series of e-mails purporting to be from the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran.

An unnamed Iranian scientist e-mailed Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer for Finnish Internet security firm F-Secure, saying that the facilities at Natanz and Fordo, near [...]

Why are people panicking as their courtyards fill with “mysterious blood redrain“?
Did Nostradamus and others predict “rain like blood”?
Has this happened before?
What causes the red color in the mysterious rain?
Is it caused by an unidentified life form?
Could dust from a meteor affect an area more than a decade later?
Is all this just coincidence?

On Thursday, July 5, 2012, around 6:50 p.m. local time, a mysterious red rain shower fell for about 15 minutes [...]

Scientists place 500-million-year-old gene into modern ecoli organism

Using a process called paleo-experimental evolution, Georgia Tech researchers have resurrected a 500-million-year-old gene from bacteria and inserted it into modern-day Escherichia coli(E. coli) bacteria. This bacterium has now been growing for more than 1,000 generations, giving the scientists a front row seat to observe evolution in action.

“This is as close as we can get to rewinding and replaying the molecular tape of life,” said scientist Betül Kaçar, a NASA [...]

Branson announces family first on VIRGIN GALACTIC

STUDY: Chronic pain ‘determined by emotions’

The emotional state of the brain can explain why different individuals do not respond the same way to similar injuries, say scientists.

Some recover fully while others remain in constant pain.

Brain scan studies showed for the first time how chronic pain emerges as a result of an emotional response to an injury.

The process involves interaction between two brain regions, the frontal cortex and nucleus accumbens.

Lead scientist Professor Vania Apakarian, from Northwestern [...]

With physics, you can get universes: There is no need for a God to cause the Big Bang, says scientist

You do not need God to fill in the blanks of the Big Bang, says an astrophysicist.

That isn’t to say there is no God, simply that the universe is explainable without the need for a divine being to bring something out of nothing, says Alex Flippenko, of the University of California.

The astrophysicist was taking part in a debate in California on Saturday, called ‘Did the Big Bang require a Divine [...]

Army Looks to Strike Foes with Lightning Weapon

Live Science
June 25, 2012

Today’s military lasers can blind spy satellites or burn enemy vehicles, but tomorrow’s could guide lightning bolts to strike and destroy battlefield targets.

A U.S. Army lab is testing how lasers can create an energized plasma channel in the air — an invisible pathway for electricity to follow. The laser-guided lightning weapon could precisely hit targets such as enemy tanks or unexploded roadside bombs, because such targets represent better conductors [...]
