DEMS MAY MOVE CONVENTION OUT OF NC?

Democrats who already were queasy about the site of their national convention could be excused after Tuesday’s election in North Carolina if they asked, “Tell me again just why we’re going to Charlotte this year?” In fact, many Democrats privately are asking exactly that after the state’s voters overwhelmingly approved a measure outlawing not just same-sex marriage — which already was illegal in North Carolina — but also any form [...]

LAZARUS RISING AGAIN?!

HotAir

While Mitt Romney continues to rack up delegates, each of the other three GOP candidates must still be able to see a path to the nomination for himself. Otherwise, they’d drop out, right?

For Newt Gingrich, that path runs through Georgia and — he hopes — Tennessee, Ohio, Texas and Oklahoma.

Gingrich predicted during an appearance at the Georgia Statehouse that he will win the state’s contest. Georgia is one of 10 holding primaries [...]

Indiana Democrats flee to avoid voting

With Republican-controlled Indiana on the verge of becoming a “right to work” state, Democrats in the state House on Tuesday took the only step they have left to prevent it, if only for a bit longer. They disappeared. Again.

A final vote on the measure, which would bar union contracts from requiring nonunion members to pay fees for representation, had been expected Tuesday in the House, which Republicans dominate, 60-40.
