Tropical Development Off East Coast?

Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines deja vu as “a feeling that one has seen or heard something before.”

Exhibit A:  May 2012 in the western Atlantic Ocean.

Just last weekend we saw our first named storm of the season, Alberto, form near the Southeast coast, taking a strange, c-shaped track, wrapping some light rainbands into parts of the coast from far northeast Florida to the Carolinas.
