The controversial financial advice firm TaxMasters has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after suffering losses of up to $10million.
Documents filed at federal court reveal the company has less than $50,000 in assets but owes money as many as 5,000 people.
Many of those who stand to lose their cash are ordinary people who have paid TaxMasters for advice but have yet to receive it.
