Storm brewing off North Carolina coast threatens to become first hurricane of the season

Storm threats could signal an early start to the Atlantic hurricane season.

A swirling mass of thunderstorms off the South Carolina coast has a 50 per cent chance of developing into a tropical depression or a tropical storm, weather forecasters said on Saturday.

Hurricane Agnes
